Fable Alternatives | Online Animation Tools

Unfortunately Fable.app is shutting down, if you used Fable but still need to create motion graphics and animations below are a list of tools that may help.

1. Lottielab

An online animation tool specialised in creating motion graphics and UI animations. Quick to learn and powerful once mastered, use Lottielab to create videos, website animations, and interactive assets for your websites and mobile apps. The lottie import feature will let you import your Fable projects to store them, or make further changes to their design. You can still collaborate with teammates in real time like in Fable, and use a shared workspace to share assets with your team.

2. RunwayML

Create videos and images using Runway's AI tools. Lets you start with a prompt and will produce content based on your input. Best for video production projects and character animation rather than motion design and UI, but is still a powerful tool that can accelerate your workflow.

3. Adobe After Effects

The original motion design tool, this OG of the animation world is still going strong in 2024. It might be time to sign back up to the Creative Cloud and recreate your Fable projects in After Effects. It doesn't have online collaboration features but can still support the vast majority of motion design projects. And you can even use the bodymovin plugin to export your creations as Lottie animations and have them run on websites and in your mobile apps.
